Reader Review: Celebrity in Death is a great follow-up to the last few books of this series. As always, Eve and her team deal with a murder, and in this case, mulitple murders. What is especially great about this story, is that it is slightly lighter than the last few storylines. There is such great chemistry between each of the characters, it was nice to spend time with them again. You will not be disappointed. Murder, suspense, humor, romance, friendship, and justice. This book has it all.
#1 New York Times bestselling author J.D. Robb knows that some roles are to die for…
Lieutenant Eve Dallas is no party girl, but she’s managing to have a reasonably good time at the celebrity-packed bash celebrating The Icove Agenda , a film based on one of her famous cases. It’s a little spooky seeing the actress playing her, who looks as though she could be her long-lost twin. Not as unsettling, though, as seeing the actress who plays Peabody—drowned in the lap pool on the roof of the director’s luxury building.
Talented but rude and widely disliked, K.T. Harris made an embarrassing scene during dinner. Now she’s at the center of a crime scene—and Eve is more than ready to get out of her high heels and strap on her holster to step into the role she was born to play: cop.

accidentally stumbled up on one of the books (book # 24) from "In Death" series and I loved it. When I found that the book was one of thirty something series I got really excited.
I think you will like this book if you have followed Eve Dallas's story from the beginning. It is exciting and romantic as usual and a nice addition to J D Robb's collection. I can't wait for her to write the next one.
If you have not read any books from "in Death" series, I suggest that you go back and start with the first book. The first few book are especially sweet. Don't spoil the story by starting from "celebrity in death" :)

It seems like I've been waiting forever for the new Eve Dallas installment. I was entertaining to read about Eve and Rourke and their interaction with all the actors from the 'Icove' movie. Eve has no pretense and some of the people in this book were nothing but pretense. I could hear her rolling her eyes and feeling disgusted by some of their actions. I was also glad to catch up with just about everyone--Mira, Peabody, Mavis, Leanardo, McNabb. And once again Dallas gets the bad guy.
