Reader Review: I am a great fan of Ms. Emma. She is a great story writer who knows how to excite one's imagination. Great story, sizzling sex and memroable characters are the hallmark of this novel. You will remember it long after wards.
Escaping a routine life, Beth joins an archaeological dig with her long-time friend Charles. The desert is perfect for adventurers- especially when it comes to exploring forbidden appetites like Charles's shameful desire for a demon. But as Charles and Beth are about to learn, some demons find humans equally irresistible.

Not the "happy" ending I was expecting

I first read prince of fire and was intrigued by the story of Prince Pahndir, a tortured soul who loved deeply his one true love. He experienced humiliating degredation at the hands of a "pillow boy" and developed feelings for the heroine in prince of fire because she treated him as a valued "man" and did not debase him.
I had high hopes for this book. I desperately wanted Prince Pahndir to overcome his tragic experience and find that deep abiding love again. Someone to help him heal his wounds.
But no. Instead he is abused -again, molested - again and forms a bond with a woman who he "has" to share.
I felt like Prince Pahndir was again secondary and in his own romance! Was there no care for his injured spirit and heart? Clearly not. A man such as he deserved better then what he got in this story. Very dissappointed.
One word says it all: Fantastic!

OMG!!!! Emma Holly has transformed her writing!!!! Prince of Ice and Demon's Fire are the best books I have ever read!! These should rate a 10! And trust me, I've read a LOT of great authors. I had read a couple of Emma Holly's books before, and didn't think much of them, but these are above the top! Everything was in this book. So much emotion, and the story was AWESOME!! In both books. Please read Prince of Ice first and then Demono's Fire. You won't be disappointed!!!
