Reader Review: Tip one you have to read the 1st 2 books in the series or you will be lost. This is a wonderful book that I have read many times. the magic, true friendship, and heart to go on when it seems there is no hope. Keeps you coming back for more.

In his acclaimed Codex Alera novels, bestselling author Jim Butcher has created a fascinating world in which the powerful forces of nature take physical form. But even magic cannot sway the corruption that threatens to destroy the realm of Alera once and for all.

Cursor's Fury

September 6, 2009
Reviewer: A reader from Sacramento, CA US

Alera has erupted in Civil War. The Canim have attacked from over the sea. What's a newly appointed Cursor with no crafting to do? Tavi must discover how to battle against these foes with no weapons but his intellegence, leadership abilities and the alliances he has formed in his past.

If you enjoy political fantasy, you will love this book and this series. Jim Butcher brings the same skill to this world as he does to his Harry Dresden novels, creating fully developed characters and developing long-term story lines which will keep you anticipating the next entry in the world of Alera.
