Reader Review: ** spoiler alert ** WARNING: Author of this review will be a total fan-girl! That being said I just love Larissa Ione! I love the way she writes, the characters she creates, the plots she develops, the settings she imagines, I just love everything she types[full-stop]. Thanatos is a little bit, let's say... miffed that he was tricked into having sex and he kind of let loose in the end of the last book. Now we fast forward 8 months and he finds out he's a dad. You can understand why he'll be shocked and more then pissed about being kept in the dark by everyone. Regan isn't having a better time of this either: she is scared for her child, she's swamped by remorse and, to add it all up, she feels she can't be a good mother or protect her child so she decided to give him up for adoption. That above is the setting on this novel and you can all understand why it'll be so epic, not that stopping the Apocalypse isn't a big enough battle. I loved how LI handled the emotions of every character in this book, we have fear for your child, love, the feeling of betrayal, self doubt...We have it all. This is by far the best she ever written, not that I don't feel this way with her every new book. Now I can't decide if I should torture myself by reading the first chapter in Resph's book or if I should wait a little for it :))
They're here.
They ride.
The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse
Born of a match between good and evil, four siblings stand between hell's minions and everything they want to destroy. They are the Lords of Deliverance, and they have the power to ward off Doomsday . . . or let it ride . . .
LETHAL RIDER
Thanatos, the most deadly Horseman of the Apocalypse, has endured thousands of years of celibacy to prevent the end of days. But just one night with the wickedly sexy Aegis Guardian, ReganCooper, shatters centuries of resolve. Yet their passion comes with a price. And Thanatos must face a truth more terrifying than an apocalypse-he's about to become a father.
Demon-slayer Regan Cooper never imagined herself the maternal type, but with the fate of the world hanging in the balance she had no choice but to seduce Thanatos and bear his child. Now, as the final battle draws closer and his rage at being betrayed is overshadowed by an undeniable passion for the mother of his child, Thanatos has a life-shattering realization: To save the world, he must sacrifice the only thing he's ever wanted-a family.

Lethal Rider
Regan Matthews was going to die.
She knew it as sure as she knew the sky was blue. Knew it as sure as she knew the baby inside her was a boy.
Knew it as sure as she knew the baby’s father would be the one to end her life.
Screaming, she bolted upright in bed, her eyes focusing on the glow of the nightlight in the bathroom. It took a second to realize she was awake, safe and secure inside The Aegis’s Berlin headquarters.
The dream had come to her again, the one where she saw herself lying on a floor and covered in her own blood, too much blood. Thanatos, known to much of the human population as Death, fourth Horseman of the Apocalypse, knelt next to her, blood coating his hands, dripping from his pale hair, and splashed across his bone armor.
She took a deep, calming breath, forcing herself to relax. Thanatos couldn’t touch her. Not here, in the apartment complex deep below the headquarters building that housed the twelve Elders who ran the ancient demon-hunting organization. Most of the Elders used their apartments only when they came to Germany for Aegis business, but Regan had called this spartan apartment home for years, and despite the fact that she was due to give birth in less than a month, she hadn’t done a single thing to prepare for the baby. There would be no decorating, no toys, no cribs.
She’d always hated pastels anyway.
...Title: Lethal Rider June 15, 2013 I really liked the story between Regan and Thanatos. I didnt think Lethal Rider was quite as exciting as book 2, though it picked up tremendously in the second half. I liked the second book because so much action was going on with all the characters. It wasn't all about Limos and Arik. This book was more PNR, focusing on the main couple. Also, so much of the exciting setup for the Regan/Thanatos plot happened in the previous book. Regardless, the book really was excellent. Lethal Rider is the third book of Larissa Ione’s Lords of Deliverance series. This series expands upon her earlier Demonica series. The author creates a rich, textured world, full of angels, demons, vampires, and the like. This world is on the cusp of an apocalypse of Biblical proportions brought about by one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse – Pestilence.

In each of her Lord of Deliverance books, the author focused on one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Eternal Rider focused on Ares or War. The second book Immortal Rider was Limos’ or Famine’s story. This book is Thanatos’ or Death’s story.
My favorite rider

Thanatos has always been my favorite rider and I was super excited to read his book. It seems that I did not learn enough about him. I wanted to learn more about his horse too.
Most of the book surrounded the pregnancy. The little pony :) loved the nickname. I was looking forward to see Thanatos reaction when he leaned he was going to be a father. I was not disappointed.
There was a lot of backstabbing done by the Aegis and a certain angel. Huge shocker there.
Great!!!!

Each book in this series is better than the last. That is saying something since the first book was great!
This is Than and Regan's story. Than is the third horseman, Reagan is a member of the Ageas . This book is very well written, fast and exciting. Ms Ione goes into more detail about the horsemen, their watchers, their world. Excellent, exciting read. Now I have to wait for the next book!
