Reader Review: Iphiginia took both, Marcus and London by storm, when our hero realized what has happen, it was to late, and all his rules, no longer exist. You must read this interesting, hilarious and sexy story, which is one to be a keeper in your book shelf.
After a year of grand adventures touring the classical ruins of Italy and Greece, Iphiginia Bright returned to England to discover that the real excitement was at home. It seems that her Aunt Zoe has fallen victim to a sinister blackmailer and only Iphiginia can hope to stop the culprit before he can do more harm. Her plan is inspired: Imitating history's most legendary beauties--Cleopatra, Helen of Troy, Aphrodite--the former schoolmistress will remake herself, and descend upon London Society as the dazzling mistress of Marcus Valerius Cloud, the infamous Earl of Masters. Rumors hint that the Earl has disappeared at the blackmailer's hands, and by posing as his unknown mistress, Iphiginia is convinced she can ferret out the villain. Overnight, Iphiginia is transformed into a vision with a host of eager admirers, including one she does not expect -- the Earl of Masters himself, who strides into a shimmering ballroom one evening to cooly reclaim his "mistress". He is everything they say he is... arrogant, attractive, devastatingly seductive, and Iphiginia can't help but be enthralled. But when Marcus agrees to play along with her charade, she doesn't know that the determined earl has plans of his own: to tease and tempt her, until the beautiful deceiver becomes more than his mistress in name only.

The Earl of Masters was alive.
Iphiginia Bright nearly fainted for the first time in her life when the earl entered the glittering ballroom. Her surroundings went into a slow spin as she struggled with the staggering shock.
The last thing she had expected to discover that night or any other night was that Masters was not dead after all.
He was alive.
The shock receded as a dizzying sense of joy soared through her. Although she had never met him, she had spent a feverish fortnight learning everything she possibly could about the earl before she had gone into Society to masquerade as his mistress.
The most shattering thing that she had discovered during the course of her study was that he was the man of her dreams; a man she could have loved as she had never loved anyone else; the right man for her.
She had fully expected him to remain a figure of her most intimate fantasies forever. But here he was, a living, breathing reality.
And when he learned who she was and what she had done, he would surely despise her."
Good God, I don't believe it," Lord Ellis muttered. "Masters is here."
Iphiginia gazed, speechless, at the tall, powerfully built man who was descending the blue-carpeted staircase with such casual arrogance. A part of her was stunned to realize that he as just as she had imagined him to be: dark-haired, coldly proud, a man who lived by his own rules. She could not believe her eyes.
Neither could anyone else, apparently.
The scene in the ballroom froze into absolute stillness for a single heartbeat. A stunned hush fell upon the crowd.
It seemed to Iphiginia as though
Title: Mistress March 29, 2012 Amanda Quick books are witty and fast-paced, and there are many twists and turns which, of course, are improbable, but fun anyway. The main character, Iphiginia Bright, tries to help her aunt with a blackmailer, and she poses as a widow and lover of Marcus Cloud, an earl whom she believes is dead. Of course, he is alive, and he's eager to meet his mystery mistress. This is a great book to relax with and have some good laughs.
