'When the last year of high school doesn't go as planned."
Seventeen-year-old Kenya is excited. She is in her senior year of high school and she leaves a devastating past behind her. Or at least she thought she did. The first day of school someone arrives from her past: one of her biggest rivalries and enemy Teesa Valeries.
Kenya brushes it off and meets up with her best friends: Kiondra; the promiscuous chick, Myla and Tyla; the crazy twin chicas, and Rhonda; the tomboy. Also on the first day, she meets Charles Lawson: a sexy 'white stallion" who she falls hard for. Through the year, she encounters issues such as dishonesty, bigotry, and jealousy. Furthermore, the people surrounding her make the issues more difficult to deal with. Especially her father whose secret is accidentally revealed at a time when things were supposedly getting better.
She opens her heart up to Charles and finds out later, he hasn't fully opened up his heart to her. She finds out he too holds a devastating past and never had any intentions of telling her. When he confronts her about finding out, their relationship is tested and put on the line.
