Vessa yelled and ran franticly after the horseless cart that Prince Zox was being taken away in, but she could not follow them as they were moving way too fast for her. Not knowing what to do, she ran into the tavern to find out what happened to him and who the strangers were that carried him out.
Now Prince Zox finds himself in a tall stone tower turned prison because he had to go to the tavern to get a drink and even though he does not remember, he just had to approach the beautiful Poveas at the bar. He started to think about what his father, King Minzer, always told him, drinking and womanizing will get you nowhere.
But it went in one ear and out the other. Now things really looked bad, Zox thought he was going to die. And he knew if he had only listened to his father in the first place, he would have never gone to the tavern and might not be in this situation. He promised himself that if he ever got out of this predicament he would stop his foolishness and lead the life expected of a prince.
