Clairvoyant Helen Staples has helped out the police before. When she received visions of a kidnapped boy, she worked intimately with the authorities to help find him. But months after locating the kidnapped child, other, more gruesome images of murder suddenly appear. A serial killer is on the loose and Helen knows she must do everything she can to stop him.

Detective Martin Hamlin is thrilled when Helen returns to the police station and offers her services as a profiler.
