Ever wonder what an out-of-body experience would feel like? Victor Farrell does and aims to explore the possibilities to the fullest. That is until his explorations unleash the contents of a paranormal Pandora's Box. It leads to his own physical and psychological torment at the hands of a sick, demented entity from a previous incarnation.

I Have To Hurt You begins on the rain soaked streets of Toronto where Farrell experiences the return of a pre-teen psychic ability in the moment of desperate need. The story takes him to Calgary, Montreal, and points in-between, where he takes the reader on a wild ride across the astral plane.

The narrative moves along at a good and exciting pace before the final resolution. Along the way we share in the author's frustration as he struggles to stay one step ahead of his demonic stalker. It gives being driven to drink a whole new meaning.

Instead of melodramatic, sweeping vistas of paranormal poetics, Farrell tells us about a former car salesman who deals with some really bad business. Its charm is in its simplicity and clarity. It's easy to read, and well worth the effort.
