Dean is a young man whose life up to this point was sports and not much else. But he also had a problem in that he could not read until 7th and 8th grade, so both of these things give him a very low self-esteem. Dean would go on to lose weight and start dating, which helped his self-esteem. Dean would also graduate from College after being in the Army and this also helped his self-esteem. One thing that started with Dean over the years that was not good was his being jealous a lot and his passive aggressive behavior.
