The fate of the entire MacPherson clan rested in the hands of Laird Ramsey Sinclair. This was the first Julie Garwood book I read so it will always be one of my favourites. Gillian shows so much courage and Laird Buchannan is one of my favourite characters of Julie Garwood's. And you instantly fall in love with Alec Maitland.

Gillian is not a damsel in distress, She is strong and determined, and able to outwit them all! Love this book in pairing a strong women with a strong man.
