Reader Review: The Magic Tree House books are a super way to encourage young readers to keep reading. This one is no exception. Mary has a way of transporting her readers to the setting of the books. I especially appreciated the way that she handled the delicate topic of the death of many people at the hand of nature. She touched on it briefly but gently enough that it does not scare the children reading the book.
