Reader Review: Following the events of `Succubus Shadows', our favourite Hellish hand-maiden has finally sorted her love life out. Her boyfriend and crime writer, Seth Mortenson, ended his engagement to another woman and burned a lot of bridges to be with Georgina . . . but theirs won't be a perfect coupling. They'll have to ration sex so that Georgina doesn't completely blacken Seth's soul, and Georgie still has to regularly go out and sleep with random men. But they're together, and that's all that counts. And Seth's family need Georgina more than ever, with Seth's sister-in-law, Andrea, sick with cancer and a menagerie of daughters who need looking after. Georgina couldn't be happier - so of course, Hell has to interfere. Just as Georgina and Seth get settled down, a transfer comes through and Georgina is ordered to work in the actual city of sin, Las Vegas. But why is Hell so `hell-bent' on separating Seth and Georgina? What could be gained from the distance between them? `Succubus Revealed' is the sixth and final installment in Richelle Mead's fantastic `Georgina Kincaid' paranormal romance series. All of Georgina's friends are back and there is a fondue party, secret Santa drawing, and Jerome even enlists the gang to win a bowling tournament against his rival. The Christmas setting makes a nice backdrop to the story, and you'll never guess who plays Santa! I've enjoyed this group of friends throughout the books and their humor that counteracts the sadness in Georgina's life. And where else can you find a demon like Jerome who chooses to appear as a John Cusack look alike? Her friends really come through for her when she needs them. This book ties up the loose ends very well and balances the storylines of Georgina's contract, relationship, and Seth's family illness. Even if you are not a fan of Georgina's romantic choice, there is some gratifying character insight and redemption to be found in her circle of friends. Roman and Carter are standouts in particular. The action is weighted more heavily to the back half of the novel, but I still enjoyed the lighter moments with her friends and family in the first half. I will miss this series but I'm satisfied with how it turned out. Though most fans will have predicted this series conclusion, the ending feels true and in keeping with the other books. Like Mead's Vampire Academy, this series is also a cut above the competition with its unique plot, characters and romance.

In Georgina Kincaid, succubus and she-demon, #1 New York Times bestselling author Richelle Mead has created one of her most enticing characters. But with a shot at love, and maybe even redemption, is the ultimate seductress finally going soft? Like hell she is. . .

Georgina Kincaid has had an eternity to figure out the opposite sex, but sometimes they still surprise her. Take Seth Mortensen. The man has risked his soul to become Georgina's boyfriend. Still, with Lucifer for a boss, Georgina can't just hang up her killer heels and settle down to domestic bliss. In fact, she's being forced to transfer operations. . .to Las Vegas.

The City of Sin is a dream gig for a succubus, but Georgina's allies are suspicious. Why are the powers-that-be so eager to get her away from Seattle-and from Seth? Georgina is one of Hell's most valuable assets, but if there's any way out of the succubus business she plans to take it-no matter how much roadkill she leaves behind. She just hopes the casualties won't include the one man she's risking everything for. . .

Succubus Revealed

Chapter One

This wasn't the first time I'd worn a foil dress. It was, however, the first time I'd done so in a family-friendly setting.

"Vixen!"

Santa's voice rang out above the mall crowd, and I hurried away from where I'd been corralling a group of Burberry-clad kids. It wasn't actually Santa Claus calling me, of course. The man sitting in the holly-and-light-bedecked gazebo was named Walter something-or-other, but he asked that those of us working as his "elves" refer to him as Santa at all times. Conversely, he had christened all of us with either reindeer or Seven Dwarves names. He took this job very seriously and said the names helped him stay in character. If we questioned that, he'd start regaling us with tales of his extensive career as a Shakespearean actor, one that he claimed had come to an end because of his age. We elves had our own ideas about what might have cut his career short.

"Santa needs another drink," he told me in a stage whisper, once I reached his side. "Grumpy won't get me one." He inclined his head toward another woman dressed in a green foil dress. She was holding back a squirming boy while Santa and I conducted our conversation. I met her pained expression and then glanced down at my watch.

"Well, Santa," I said, "that's because it's only been an hour since the last one. You know the deal: one shot in your coffee every three hours."

"We made that deal a week ago!" he hissed. "Before the crowds picked up. You have no idea what Santa endures." I didn't know if it was part of his acting method or just a personality quirk, but he also referred to himself in the third person

Sad to see this series end. Bittersweet ending

A satisfying conclusion

Reviewer: A reader from MI, USA

The great thing about this book is that it wraps up all of the loose ends from previous books in the series and features the perfect ending to Georgina and Seth's story. The bad thing is that few readers will be surprised at the big "reveal" that happens partway through the story. I (along with many other readers, I'm sure), saw the plot twist coming a mile away, and while I enjoyed the story overall, it wasn't as exciting or gripping since I already knew how most of it would play out.
