Reader Review: Elijah is the Demon warrior captain, powerful and loyal. Siena is the queen of Lycanthrope, strong and beautiful. Their attraction is upfront and sizzling. Their love is one of destiny. Yet, centuries of war and a nascent peace has set the two races at tenuous relationship with each other. Elijah bravely faces societal bias to stand by his love while Siena struggles to find balance between love and duty to her people. Elijah is #3 in the Nightwalkers series and my first foray into this delectable world. I have no problem getting right into the story as Frank incorporated plenty background stories into the current drama. Although, even as a series novice, I feel some of the previous characters and rehash can be better streamlined for a tighter, cogent read. Regardless, Frank has painted a mesmerizing world where I can see and feel right along side the characters. Altogether, a wonderful book for a lazy afternoon.
New York Times Bestseller
Dear Reader,
Please note that the text of this story, ELIJAH by Jacquelyn Frank, begins on page 7. The first six pages are the teaser copy, the Also By The Author page, the title page, the copyright page and the dedication.
Also on the inside front cover, it lists NOAH as available now. That title will be published in September, 2008.
Sorry for any confusion.
They are called the Demons, one of the elusive Nightwalker races living in shadow and struggling for survival against their human enemies. Their proudest warrior is Elijah, a man who bends for nothing and no one...until one woman brings him to his knees. . .
Some Feelings You Just Can't Fight
He is known as the Warrior Captain--a master of every weapon, a fierce soldier sworn to protect his kind. Powerful, relentless, merciless, Elijah has always won every battle he's ever taken on--until now. Ambushed by necromancers, he is left for dead only to be discovered by the woman who could very well deliver the final blow. . .Siena, the Lycanthrope Queen.
With three centuries of warring, little more than a decade of uneasy peace has existed between the Lycanthropes and Elijah's people. Now, after a lifetime of suspicion, the warrior in Elijah is consumed with a different battle--winning Siena's heart by giving her pleasure beyond all boundaries. What starts as attraction and arousal soon burns into a passion with consequences that will echo through the ages for both their people. And as would-be enemies become inseparable lovers, another threat approaches, one with the power to destroy them all. . .
Surrender to the night.

Elijah

This is the third book in the Nightwalkers series. It was one of my favorites. Elijah is injured and rescued by the lycanthrope queen, Siena. She helps him recover, but falls in love with him. They do have trouble to overcome. Elijah was one of the biggest threats in the war between their people, so although they have found a way to give in to their feelings they still have to seek a way to reconcile their people.
I liked Elijah and Siena very much and to have them together was fun to read.

Elijah was last of the Demon to fall in love and imprint himself not just to any ordinary demon but to a lycantrope queen of all. He feel hard and fast for her while she tried to deny her feelings for awhile she didn't last too long. The bonding power of the imprinting is very powerful and sound so romantic. It is every girls fantasy. Would definitely recommend this to other readers.

Jacquelyn is my favourite paranormal author. When you open the cover of one of her books its like opening the door to another world and you cant but help to love the heros that you meet there. Elijah is the captain of the demon army but even so he is fun loving and easy going. However even though its piece time amoung the nightwalker species, this is still much to go before they trust completely. So when he imprints on a different species, whats He to do? I totally recommend this book you will not be disappointed.

PNR - Nightwalkers #3. Story of Elijah, Demon King's Captain, and Siena, Queen of Lycanthropes. Ms. Frank keeps her series flowing : this book is as good as the preceding stories but this time, the heroine is as strong as the hero. original, fast paced, lots of action scenes, enjoyable characters. the side plot starts to make sense and takes more importance. As the characters are recurrent, I advise to read the series in order ("Jacob", then "Gideon", then "Elijah"). Highly recommended!
