Reader Review: Well the cover is beautiful which caught my eyes. Exceptionally It's about a girl who plays the violin because i do too! So i was like YES I HAVE TO READ THIS. When i got i was excited, and couldn't wait to read it. The first few chapters were very interesting. I liked it. After a while it went down the hill. Which i'm sad because this was my first violin book and i didn't like it much. It was okay but It's not my type of book i guess. That doesn't mean you can't read it though! :) You should check it out anyways. I just gotta tell you i didn't finish it but I'm still going to do a review on it because i read more than half the book then i finally stopped. First off, It's about a girl who plays the violin and is very famous. She tours around the world. Last summer or spring she went to Japan for a tour. Someone bad happens, she got nervous! It never happened to her before and she messed up a lot. So she went to a doctor to get some pills, to calm her down when she performs. It only took one pill to calm her down. The next thing you know she needs two more then three more. Now, she needs pills when she even practices. That's crazy... she's just practicing and she's nervous? She's having a contest between these two other guys. She stalks one of them which she falls in love with him. Yeah.... Anyways, i have nothing to say. This book disappointed me, but it might be really amazing for you! So don't think because I don't like it. You don't like it, just try the book out! :)
Now is not the time for Carmen to fall in love. And Jeremy is hands-down the wrong guy for her to fall for. He is infuriating, arrogant, and the only person who can stand in the way of Carmen getting the one thing she wants most: to win the prestigious Guarneri competition. Carmen’s whole life is violin, and until she met Jeremy, her whole focus was winning. But what if Jeremy isn’t just hot...what if Jeremy is better ?
Carmen knows that kissing Jeremy can’t end well, but she just can’t stay away. Nobody else understands her-and riles her up—like he does. Still, she can’t trust him with her biggest secret: She is so desperate to win she takes antianxiety drugs to perform, and what started as an easy fix has become a hungry addiction. Carmen is sick of not feeling anything on stage and even more sick of always doing what she’s told, doing what’s expected.
Sometimes, being on top just means you have a long way to fall....
