Reader Review: This is a short fantasy romance which is the prequel story for Gena Showalter's hot new series - of which 3 books are being released over the next few months. It tells the story of Geryon, the Gaurdian of hell and his love for Kadence, the godess of oppression. It is both sweet and hot! You will fall in love with Geryon! If you have enjoyed the IAD series by Kresley Cole or JR Ward's black dagger brotherhood series - you will love this too.

He is the guardian of hell, more monster than man. She is the goddess of oppression, more angel than woman. Together they will enter the flames to battle a dangerous horde of demon lords -- and discover a passion unlike any other....

Don't miss this sizzling prequel to Gena Showalter's breathtaking new paranormal series, The Lords of the Underworld! Though they carry an eternal curse, the Lords of the Underworld are irresistibly seductive -- and unimaginably powerful....

Showalter- Darkest Fire

A really short story. It's a prequel the the Underworld books but it's not needed to continue the series. I liked both characters in this one and didn't expect the ending to turn out the way it did at all.

I ablsolutely loved this title. I had read some of the series already before I realized there was a "prequel" in ebook form. I strongly suggest anyone who even thinks of reading the Lords of the Underworld series to read this.

Creative story and good characters drive this story. It left me wanting a little more, like it wasn't a fully finished work. Fun read, lacked depth.

Brenda's Review

As the beginning of Ms. Showalter's Lords of the Underworld series, this was an outstanding e-Book. Loved the
story and it absolutely gave the structure of the stories to come. It is absolutely great. Look forward to all the new books to come forward.
