Strange reports begin arriving from around the world--reports of a bearded man who can walk through solid walls. Business conferences find a stranger listening to their secret plans; military documents and gold reserves are disappearing from impregnable safes; and Miss World has just vanished from a locked room before the eyes of several astonished witnesses. Cities are being destroyed by gigantic earthquakes, with bridges and all metal structures just dissolving into nothingness. In fact, the people of the Earth seem to be facing complete and utter destruction. What's going on? It's up to Detective Inspector Arthur Crispian of Scotland Yard to unravel the puzzle, and to save the Earth from bird-like aliens, a mad scientist, and the hellish machines that both are manipulating. A mad-dash sci-fi blast from the 1950s!
