Wow! I can't believe how time flies. One minute, it's the year 1992 ... It's summertime in "Chill Town," Jersey City, N.J. and we've just graduated from Saint Mary's High School. Michael Jackson psyched us out by putting actor/comedian Eddie Murphy, as a pharaoh, and a world's famous super model from Africa named Iman, as his queen, in his "Remember the Time" video from his Dangerous album. We're mesmerized by the many moves of Michael Jordan, a sexy basketball player from the Chicago Bulls who leads his team to a second NBA Championship defeating the Portland Trailblazers. Full of spit and vinegar Charlene, Terry, Jasmine, Monica, and I felt the world was our oyster. No one could stop us for we were a force to be reckoned with.
Head over heels in love with Derrick, Charlene got pregnant. She didn't let her unexpected pregnancy change her plans to accept a scholarship to attend Jersey City State College. She knew that her destiny was best placed in her hands and not in Derricks. An arrogant Derrick skipped college and went straight to California to play professional basketball for the Los Angeles Clippers. Astute, Terry always wanted to be a lawyer. She chose to attend NYU on scholarship where she met her attentive fiancé Dexter.
