Eleven year-old boy Amaranth never knew he was different until a strange-looking visitor shows up in their house one night. When a war broke between the forces of good and evil, the bountiful land of Yncanto was in danger of falling into the unrighteous hands of an evil red mage. Princess Dimetra was killed in her attempt to save the time medallions which are powerful artifacts that the enemies tried to steal. With the sudden havoc that happened, they provoked the wrath of the gods, resulting in a bright burst of explosion which killed thousands of men. And the red mage and most of his followers were never seen again. Afraid that they might show up once more to take revenge, they decided to let Dimetra's infant, Prince Amaranth, retreat to earth and be back soon when they are finally sure of his safety. In due time, he was called to fulfill his destiny and to claim for treasures he never knew existed.
