Reader Review: Pretty good -- it kept me interested, if not greatly involved emotionally. The heroine's over-the-top defiant attitude seemed a little unbelievable, given the situation as described in the story, but I always like a smart aleck heroine. I will check out any sequels.

At the age of four, Bryn watched a rogue werewolf brutally murder her parents. Alone in the world, she was rescued and taken in by the mysterious Callum, the alpha of his werewolf pack. Now fifteen, Bryn’s been raised as a human among werewolves, adhering to pack rule (mostly). Little fazes her.

But the pack’s been keeping a secret, and when Bryn goes exploring against Callum’s direct orders, she finds Chase, a newly turned teen Were locked in a cage. Terrifying memories of the attack on her mom and dad come flooding back. Bryn needs answers, and she needs Chase to get them. Suddenly, all allegiances to the pack no longer matter.  It’s Bryn and Chase against the werewolf world, whatever the consequences.

An exciting new paranormal adventure, with a heroine that rivals Buffy, Raised by Wolves will leave you howling for more.

Good take on the werewolf genre

and a bit more original with the heroine, Bryn, being raised as a normal human among werewolves, protected as part of the pack.

I like spunky heroines, and Bryn's character is pretty likable. Great interactions between Bryn and friends showing how much they care for each other.

It's just a slight irk that no matter how independent and defiant Bryn's attitude is, the fact of the matter is that she's human, and among her pack she still needs to be (her pack wants her to be) protected-- pretty weak, but I'm sure she'll find a way to overcome this in the future.
