The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest
The stunning third and final novel in Stieg Larsson’s internationally best-selling trilogy
Lisbeth Salander—the heart of Larsson’s two previous novels—lies in critical condition, a bullet wound to her head, in the intensive care unit of a Swedish city hospital. She’s fighting for her life in more ways than one: if and when she recovers, she’ll be taken back to Stockholm to stand trial for three murders. With the help of her friend, journalist Mikael Blomkvist, she will not only have to prove her innocence, but also identify and denounce those in authority who have allowed the vulnerable, like herself, to suffer abuse and violence. And, on her own, she will plot revenge—against the man who tried to kill her, and the corrupt government institutions that very nearly destroyed her life.
Once upon a time, she was a victim. Now Salander is fighting back.

Title: Millenium Trilogy April 30, 2012 The Millenium Trilogy are three books written by a Swedish author that you can probably get in almost any language. The main character is a journalist who runs an independent newspaper that is unafraid of uncovering corrupt people and businesses. This leads to rubbing the wrong people up the wrong way and this is how the adventures begin. A computer nerd girl is enlisted to help solve some mysteries and she also is drawn in to the action and dangerous situations. Some scenes of the books are confronting but help to paint a rounded picture of the characters. The three books generally have different storylines that could be read out of order, but reference to past adventures is made. Buying the books as a trilogy will help to make the most of the thrilling adventures. It is a shame that the author died before the books became so popular.
