The novel La Lune Blanche is the first of the series. A story of a boy and his freely-chosen relationship with his adult friend, a wealthy good-looking gay man of the name of Anthony Blanche. Europe. Nowadays. The young boy of the name of Jocelyn Lindenridge is an orphan. Born in Midlands, he lost his parents one by one, inheriting only the title of Viscount and some money, but the castle, where he was born, is left to his cousin uncle, an American millionaire. The boyâs uncle takes him to Hawaii, where the boy meets Anthony Blanche and falls in love with him. The man permits the boy to love him. The three of them, the boy, his uncle and Anthony Blanche go on journey through Europe, where they visit the boyâs far cousin, his great grandfather, who lives in Rome. Soon, when the travelers are in North Africa, the boyâs uncle dies in a car accident. The boyâs only next of kin now is his great grandfather, an old Italian marquis. In Rome, Anthony Blanche, who is a tenant of the old marquis, begins the process of adoption of the boy. After Anthony succeeded, he and his foster-son go on journey again. They visit seashores of France and Britain. Then they return to Rome, and their life a deux goes on. In the end, the life with the boy ennobles Anthonyâs thoughts, smoothing his most dangerous whims. The novel is about their life a deux, their everyday enjoyments, and also there are novelettes and several imaginative poems written by Anthony Blanche. Those suggestive writings are about male love too. The novel is the world where pleasures of life and pleasures of art are just norms. Author chooses gays, gay admirers and aesthetes as the target group of her books, since her writings are aesthetically beautiful and with a purpose. And a lot of sensualists, mostly male erotic lovers can take pleasure in reading the novel too. Although questions which are directly related to our real world are not so evident in the story, but there is nothing caused by any mortifying hallucinogens, and there is much capturing the heart and mindset of the readers, because the characters are humans, and not fairytale personages involved in various saving-the-world plotlines and only showing humanlike qualities. The young beautiful boy, whose mind is open to the world. Although rich, he knows how cruel the world can be. The handsome man, whose finances let him enjoy life without caring about the future and obscurity hidden behind the fine texture of the novels. They live learning each other and life, loving, feeling, suffering and getting horrified by real situations. The book is a great read especially if you find yourself at home alone by night and wishing to have something truly exciting. But once you start reading, prepare yourself for additional load of poetry and knowledge in realm of history and world literature. Youâll be surely spellbound and engrossed in such a wonderful tale of friends and everlasting love.
