“And the dead shall rise…” Well, they certainly do when you’re looking after the dying. One minute your patients are breathing, the next they’re trying to take a bite out of you. We have protocol for that, but only once they turn. However, protocol on nightshift doesn’t count all the time…maybe… It takes a special kind of person to handle these situations, and I don’t mean just the Zombie Squad – sorry, the politically correct term is the Walker Assistance Team. I’m talking about the nurses, orderlies, and security. We’re trained in not only healing the sick, but dealing with the dead. Multi-tasking, I call it. So don’t worry people, we have the situation in…er…hand!
