July 13, 2047. 7:13 a.m. Thousands of heavily-armed unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are patrolling the skies over major American cities. In the eastern United States, more than 6000 UAVs are highjacked via remote control. The autonomous UAVs are sent to attack major cities, unleashing a maelstrom of missiles and bombs before becoming deadly projectiles themselves. Millions die. It is the single greatest disaster in U.S. history. But on that fateful morning, known simply as The Attack, Parker Perkins survives. Three years pass. Parker’s dad is overseas, attached to a Special Forces unit, determined to get some “payback.” Parker’s mom is simply gone, one of the millions who perished that day. Parker spends most of his time at Skycade, strapped into a Go-Boy Battle-Suit simulator, getting some “payback” of his own. Parker does anything he can to avoid sleeping, for in his sleep he is plagued by clawed hands pulling him down into the darkness. But today is different. Sunny and Bubba convince Parker to visit Sky City Hobbies & Toys, to meet teen super-stars Colby Max and Igby Fry, and, most importantly, to see a real Go-Boy Battle-Suit. But Colby’s handlers soon announce that the appearance is over, and it is time for Colby to depart. Chaos erupts. In the midst of the calamity, four men in dark suits enter through the back door. They seize Parker and depart, just as quickly as they came. Parker soon finds himself riding an underground bullet train, accompanied inexplicably by Sunny and Bubba (and Colby Max!), stowaways who hide nearby in the darkness. Where is the train headed? What will happen when it reaches its destination? HALLOWED BE THY NAME is the second chapter in the epic urban fantasy adventure series THE GO-KIDS. Universal themes of growing up, friendship, loss of innocence, and children coming of age in an age of war fill this story with fast-paced action, deep characters, and emotional impact. Readers will come to know and love Parker, Sunny, Bubba, Igby, and Colby as their adventure unfolds.
