Reader Review: This is my first time with this writer. I happened upon her by chance. I loved this book(more so because it was free). I really like Mckenna and how strong she is. Will is a sweet guy that is having some very untimely accidents. Ms. Lily and her sister are a riot. I love the sweeping of the porch(by accident) HA! I am from Indiana and really liked all of the references to the Derby. The interaction with the horses was a great touch and the kiss for Boots. The bad guys are truely dangerous and that adds a great element. I will continue with this series.
In the first book of the Bluegrass Series, McKenna Mason, a New York City attorney with a love of all things Prada, is on the run from a group of powerful, dangerous men. McKenna turns to a teenage crush, Will Ashton, for help in starting a new life in beautiful horse country. She finds that Will is now a handsome, successful race horse farm owner. Characters are very personable. The story line takes you along at an interesting pace with no real boring bits. Easy read and not too thought provoking. A little predictible, but enjoyable

Loved it! Action, romance, mystery and comedy. I fell in love with all the characters and can't wait for book 2. I couldn't stop laughing as Brooks pointed out all the small town, southern mannerisms.
