A suspense drama about a self centered, narcissistic woman. Jill Lawson Hawkins, a beautiful model and fashion designer, does whatever it takes to protect her image. She meets and marries Kurt Lawson and finally feels love towards another person, and she learns she is pregnant. Kurt is murdered, leaving Jill alone with the thought of being a single mother. Jill thinks about giving the baby away, but when an opportunity to be featured as the "Perfect Mommy & Baby" comes her way, she decides to keep it. Annie Lawson, her daughter is useful to her, but she feels absolutely no love for her, and Annie suffers at the hand of her mother. Jill meets and marries John Hawkins who adores Annie and finally she has someone to protect her, but John is pulled away from Annie and she is again left with only her mother. For the first six years of her life, Annie is a property and a tool, not A Child A Mother Should Love.
