There are some evidences in the ancient books that the art of palmistry was very much there in the Biblical times and before that even in the Vedic era in India. The ancient known palmists were Hippocrates and Galen who used their art of palm reading to cure people of their ailments. It is believed that even Julius Caesar believed in palm reading and he often consulted his royal palmists on certain occasions. With the course of time, the methods of reading hands have continued to keep changing but the fundamental principles of the art have never changed. It was assumed that the hand which is used for writing is the dominant hand and this very hand must be used to read the lines on the palm. They believed that the non-writing hand, generally, the left hand did not experience any changes in lines, for it is believed to be the hand bequeathed to us by our ancestors or parents. The right hand, or the hand that is used for writing, is very much in our power and through our deeds we can definitely change our lines for good or bad. The destiny lies in our left hand but future can be molded through our deeds which are recorded on the lines of the right hand palm. Notwithstanding changes, the art of palmistry is, even today, a very much there in almost every human society and a palmist is often a respected member of the society. In this book, I have provided a systematic presentation of lines, and what they mean in your life. The language has been kept very simple so that even a layman could read it.
