Zach Oath is a writer with a unique past, a past that doesn't make him a pushover. However, today is the day everyone wants to push him over something. If it isn't the drunk Blanche Lung, interrupting his coffee and reading time, it's her father's goons coming to take him out. Blanche isn't the only woman he has to deal with, though.
