Moving In Day It had been a year since the Ramsey family moved into their new home in La Jolla, CA. The house was over one-hundred years old and was in drastic need of a makeover. Brad while watching television was watching his sister Christy looking at her digital camera at some pictures she had recently taken. âDo you remember Kiddo, the day we moved into this house?â âI sure do Brad how could I ever forget.â âDo you remember about your celebrity status for a short while when you uncovered that mystery?â âI sure do,â said Christy with a smile. âToo bad everybody forgets so quickly.â Christy was on watch. She was frantically scanning the driveway to get the first glance at the moving truck bringing all their stuff from Pennsylvania. âThe moving van is here,â squealed Christy from the front door, jumping up and down with excitement. A huge van marked C. C. Moving on the sides pulled up in front of the huge old wooden house. âAwesome, Mom our stuff is finally here.â yelled Christy, from the doorway. There were four men ready to move in the furniture. Christy, twelve, her brother, Brad, sixteen and their mom, Diane, all have fiery red hair and big blue eyes. They just moved from Pennsylvania to La Jolla, California. They wanted to be closer to Dianeâs parents General Max Mumps, Commandant of Fort Cheyenne and his wife, Frieda. Diane purchased a large rambling wooden house over a hundred years old which sat on top of a mountain that sprawled downward to the Pacific Ocean. Christy and Bradâs dad had died when Christy was a baby in a car accident. âItâs a nice house, Mom donât you think? I fell in love with it the moment I walked through the front door,â Diane inquired. âYes, but its old, Diane,â answered Grandma Frieda. She is a short, plump woman with grayish, red hair. She has a soft spot to her heart when it came to her daughter and grandchildren. She was busily cleaning the cupboards with rags. âDiane went to open the kitchen cupboard. The door fell off in her hand. âI guess it needs some work.â âYou know what they say about old houses, Diane?â âWhatâs that Mom? âThey usually come with live-in ghosts.â âOh Mom,â Diane burst into laugher. âStop laughing Diane,â said her Mom, who was laughing so hard she could hardly take a breath.
