John Livingstone is the anti-hero in this journey through the rigours of life. From the calm of being a street trading hippie and onto the self employed ideals of dealing with customs, police and hardened criminals. Through this tumultuous era John drags his contemporaries and lovers as his and their lives change in a way they were unable to foresee. Chris Hurst deals with this complex and colourful period handsomely, his characterisations are astute as the risque subject matter is considered realistically with inherent humour.
