Carnival Elf

The Carnival Elf

Chapter 1

The carnival people laughed at Zaddakiah, and one of the carnies told her, “You better behave!”

Zaddakiah took on an evil smug grin across her face and said, “No fun behaving! I want to play!”

It didn’t take long for her to come up with mischief.

“I think the workers need some help!” Zaddakiah muttered as she quietly sneaked behind the workers, undoing everything they have set up that she can reach.

After thirty minutes or more of this, she went to the big tent.

“The knives need a new place. They should have them out by now. I will go fix them!”

The knives and other props soon were moved and put into another location.

As she finished this devilish chore, she took off scampering to the snake pit.

“Snakes! I soo love my snakes!”

The tiny figure ran in and sat among the creepy creatures. They were used to her, and began crawling over her tiny body.

It didn’t take long before the carnies began searching for things that came missing.

“Damn it! Where is that girl? The animals are quiet. She must be in there with them. Go look in on the snakes to see if she’s there and get the props she pilfered.”

“What if she doesn’t have them?” asked one of the women.
