Before downloading your first ebook, you must acquire, install, and register the appropriate ebook reader software on the computer to which you are downloading the ebook. Until you are confident downloading ebooks, we suggest you first practice using one of our test downloads
These instructions will guide you through this process as well as the downloading of your first ebook. Before you can open a eReader ebook, you must install a copy of eReader ebook reader software.
- Download a copy of eReader (desktop version) for your computer.
- Install eReader on your computer by following the instructions provided by eReader.
- Visit the online retailer of your choice and select an ebook to purchase (or download one for free).
- Open your copy of eReader and select "Open" from the menu. Browse your computer, locate the ebook file you just downloaded, and select it.
- If Palm Reader requests a "Purchaser's Name" and "Unlock Code", these will be the name and credit card number you provided when you purchased the ebook.
- Select your favorite Diesel eBooks title to purchase and follow the payment instructions. Moments after your transaction is complete, you will receive two messages from Diesel eBooks; a receipt email and an email with the following text in the subject line: "Downloadable ebook ready!". This message will contain a link which should be clicked to begin the ebook download. To ensure these important emails are received and you can access your ebook(s), please add "diesel-ebooks.com" to your safe senders list or address book. In addition, to the download link email, 24 hours following your purchase, you can always access your ebooks that are ready to download by going to your bookshelf.
